Community Program: Strong African American Families (SAAF)
Greetings!
My name is Elizabeth and I am the Program Manager for the Strong African American Families (SAAF) Program; a free, evidence-based, culturally relevant program held in Providence. This program is one of many culturally relevant programs in our portfolio at the Children and Youth Cabinet.
The program meets in-person once a week and adheres to all Covid guidelines and mandates. SAAF Sessions are usually in the evening, further details below:
- Program time: typically starts at 530pm in Providence
- One night per week for 7 weeks
- Free Dinner, gift cards, and transportation provided
- Adults who are caregivers to a child aged 10-14 who identifies as African American may attend the group; an adult must attend the program with the child. Extended family members may also attend.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me by email or phone, 401-324-9511, should you have any questions or to schedule a Zoom meeting.
Warm Regards,
